Just because you are eating a clean, balanced diet doesn't mean you can't enjoy some dessert every once in a while, or even more than once in a while. Try out my Power Protein Cookie recipe below and you won't feel guilty the next time you want to indulge. I like to make as part of a post-workout snack or a healthy dessert... POWER PROTEIN COOKIES
Ingredients: 1 cup uncooked oats 2 tbl spoons of all natural peanut butter 2 bananas (smashed) 20-40 grams of whey protein powder (I use Vital Whey Chocolate) Handful of raisins or chocolate chips For extra sweetness and flavor add a tsp of vanilla and/or tbsp of maple syrup and/or cinnamon Directions: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Add oats to a bowl with bananas and smash the bananas with a spoon. Add peanut butter and protein powder to bowl and mix ingredients. Once the ingredients are mixed, stir in raisins or chocolate chips. Spoon mixture into 5 cookies onto baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes and enjoy! Nutrition Info: Total- 1 cookie Calories- 850 total- 170/cookie Carbs- 122 g total- 24.5/cookie Protein- 50 g total- 10 g/cookie Fat- 26 g total- 5.2 g/cookie
